About Us

In 2010 WorkComp Strategies LLC was formed to serve the needs of workers' compensation clients in the public and private sectors. Our consultants provide project-management and business-analysis services to public- and private-sector clients, with continued emphasis on the workers' compensation industry. The company grew in 2016, as WorkComp Strategies of Illinois, Inc. was formed to provide expanded services throughout the United States.


Matt Bryant, principal owner of WorkComp Strategies, has over twenty-five years of professional experience, with a focus on project management, process analysis and re-design, and strategic planning. He was a staff attorney and administrator with the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission for several years, is active with several professional boards and committees, and has served as chair of the Associate Member Council of the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions. Matt is a licensed attorney and a PMI-certified project management professional.


Greg Krohm, PhD, CPCU, ARM, has been actively involved in the field of workers' compensation for over thirty years. Greg serves as the Director of Research for WorkComp Strategies, guiding the firm's data and analytics program. He served as director of the Wisconsin Division of Workers' Compensation and executive director of the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions. A well respected author and speaker, Greg has a PhD in Economics and holds the CPCU and ARM insurance designations.

 

 


Alan Stitzer is Sr. Management Consultant with WorkComp Strategies. Since joining WorkComp Strategies in 2016, Alan has been an integral part of numerous projects with different states. Prior to joining WorkComp Strategies, he was Director of Global Development with ACORD. Under his direction, the ACORD team introduced and managed the development of new data standards for the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and South Africa insurance markets. Additionally, Alan was responsible for the design of ACORD XML for Workers’ Compensation.  He worked closely with the IAIABC and the State of Kansas to implement the nation’s first FROI/SROI in XML. Alan is also an avid martial artist, studying Taekwondo, Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Karate. 


Connor Gallagher joined WorkComp Strategies in 2016 as a Business and Technical Analyst. Since joining the WorkComp Strategies team, he has performed business and technical analysis and provided project management services in projects across the United States. Connor studied Information Technology and English at Loyola University Chicago.


Fran Davis, Senior Business Analyst, has over 14 years of experience in workers’ compensation with the Kentucky Department of Workers’ Claims. She served as Division Director of Information and Research for seven years with a primary focus on data extraction and analysis. Fran also served as project manager for Kentucky’s online claims management system and was key in developing annual reports and publication of the Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Guidebook. Additionally, Fran served four years on the IAIABC EDI Council, and held positions as the Claims Committee Vice Chair and served on the Implementation Team, responsible for migration of data among EDI releases.


Beatrice Atwater, Communications Manager for WorkComp Strategies, led communication campaigns for projects involving institution-wide change in both health care and higher education settings. After a rewarding career as a nurse, Beatrice graduated summa cum laude with her degree in communication and was inducted into the National Communication Association honor society. Her specialties include PR planning and implementation, graphic design, writing, and promotion.
